Cervical Cancer

Out of 1,30,000 (one lakh thirty thousand) women identified to have cervical cancer in India, 74,000 (Seventy four thousand) died in every year. According to WHO, India has more cases of cervical cancer than any other country. Making if the leading cause of cancer related deaths in India.

Human Papilloma virus is the major cause of cervical cancer. HPV is a group of 100 viruses from which 30 are known to cause different types of cancer.
