Eat small frequent meal at every 3 to 4 hrs. Include all five good groups viz. Cereals, pulses,
vegetables and fruits, milk products, fats and oils in the daily diet in the right proportion.
Any type of cooking oil can be used, but use in moderation only for seasoning.
Non-vegetarian foods, chicken, fish, eggs, can be consumed in restricted quantity
3 to 4 pieces day boiled, steamed or baked form, and not in the fried form without substituting dhal and vegetables.
Salt for restricted use, so use salt only in one dish in your one time meal. (E.g. idly is with salt, sambar without salt).
Fluid normally 2 to 2.5 lt / day. But if there is fluid intake, all dishes should be of thick consistency. Avoid spicy
items and papad, pickles, preserved foods, and dry fish, baking powder, masala powders, salt biscuits and snacks.
Brisk walking for 30 minutes is recommended every day...
