MOSQUITO BITE


Mosquito bite is a common problem every where all common problem every where all around the world. If you sitting outdoors during evening or at night, you are sure to get bitten by a  mosquito. Mosquitoes thrive on human blood.

Some mosquitoes  are harmless and their bite does not cause much harm. You may experience a slight  bump or rash on the skin which goes off after a few days. But some mosquitoes are more poisonous and a bite from them can cause infection. Boils and abscess etc. You can treat mosquito bites with simple home remedies to prevent infection and complications.

Basil


Basil is a natural anti septic. It is easily  available in every household. Grind a few basil leaves to extract its juice. Apple the juice directly on mosquito bites. It provides immediate relief and prevented  infection.

Neem


 Neem has amazing healing properties. You can use neem in various forms to get relief from mosquito bites. Boil a handful of fresh neem leaves in water and use it for bathing to stop itching caused by mosquito bites. Apply a few drops of neem  oil directly on the bitten area to reduce swelling and red bump

Camphor


Take 1 teaspoon camphor powder and mix it with 2 tea spoons mustard oil. Apply this paste on mosquito bites to prevent puss formation and to reduce swelling.

Baking Soda


Mix 1 tea spoon baking soda with equal amounts of water to make a paste. Apply the paste on the affected area and leave it on for 15 minutes. Wipe off with a moist cloth.

Lime Juice


Lemon gives relief from itching and burning sensation. It heals the mosquito bite instantly. Make a solution with lime juice and water and  apply it on the bite for 10-15  marinates. Wipe it clean. You can also rub a lemon peel on mosquito bite to relieve itching.

Orange Peel


Orange contains vitamin C, which works as an antiseptic too. Make a powder with dried orange peel. Take 1 teaspoon orange peel and mix it with water to make a paste. Apply the paste on affected area. It helps to heal the blister faster.  You can get dried orange peel from the market.

Garlic


Garlic is a wonder herb with amazing properties. It works wonders to cure mosquito bites. Crush a  few garlic pods and extract the juice. Apply a few drops of juice on mosquito bites for 10-15 minutes. Wipe the area clean afterwards. If you find pure juice too strong, you can dilute it with water and then use it as mentioned.

Aiwa in


Grind Ajwa in to make powder. Make a paste with 1 teaspoon Ajwa in power and 1 teaspoon mustard oil. Apply it on mosquito bites to relieve swelling and pain from the area.

Fuller’s Earth (Multani Mitti)


Fuller’s  earth has a cooling effect on the skin. It relieves pain and redness caused by mosquito bites. Apply a paste of fuller’s earth on the affected area and leave it on till dry. Wash it off with normal water. Afterwards apply a few drops of calamine lotion on the stop to prevent dryness.
